Metropolitan Museum of Art

Remember when the Met was the very first tourist thing we did when we moved here. It was the first thing we did with Grammie and Pappie. We spent the afternoon at the Met, about 6 hours. The American wing had two floors open, (last time we went it was completely closed.) I love the "American School" majestic landscapes, Mary Cassat, Tiffany, and Frank Lloyd Wright.

I finished taking the pictures in the Wright room, and dropped my lens cap. It rolled under the fence, and on to the carpet. I went looking for a guard to get it for me. Turns out, they don't have permission to go past the little barricades. I had to find the wing supervisor. It was a long adventure, and I will never drop my lens cap in a museum again.

If I ever got out there, I'd go visit the museum because it looks wonderful. You'd like this town with the architecture.

I hope it's not too inane to point out that you look very much like your parents!
The museum looks great. I like the way they have treated the glass displays. That's a fun shot of Reuben too :)

I love that museum- especially the Egypt section. I could have spent all day in that wing.
