MLK

I woke up this morning and started working. I knew it was Martin Luther King, Jr. day, but I remembered having to work this holiday is previous years. I signed into my time sheet to put in my start time (after an hour and a half of working) and was pleasantly surprised to see that I do have today off! Hurray!

I celebrate this day by listening to good music, and if you went to GRHS you know why. (We had a concert in the afternoon, and one year I played the piano when Joe played the guitar and we had a bassist and a drummer too I think, we did "out of my head" and the part where it goes do do do doo do do do do glissando, my karma bead bracelet shot off my wrist and flew three yards into the front row of students.)

I will have Justin and Reuben listen to the U2 song (and maybe even the King'Singers cover if I can find it). And we will go grocery shopping, oh how I hate grocery shopping in New York.

So, are you going to be listening to the actual song "MLK," or "Pride" (Early morning, April 4, Shot rings out in the Memphis sky, Free at last, they took your life, They could not take your pride)? Just curious, because my sister and I do the same thing.

When you lose your Karma bead bracelet in the middle of a piano glissando, there's a pretty good chance you're a hippy....

;)

Yay for days off from work!
