Independence Day Part Two (Eva Gabor Memorial)

My sisters appreciated the jell-o art, but it was a huge hit with our friends. It took me 4 hours, and I will probably never do it again, but I was impressed with myself. And the best part was it tasted good as well as looked good.

The Parkins hosted. We ate, we talked, we laughed. It was a lovely evening. Their 12 year old took Reuben under his wing, and Reuben was in heaven following him around. When it got dark we had our own personal fireworks show. Simeon was the only not-a-fan in the bunch. He covered his years, and buried his face in my chest.

The boys fell asleep as soon as we had them buckled, and we got home just after midnight. This morning Reuben told me that yesterday was the best day of his life.
