I let Justin sleep in because he was sick. We quickly got ready and rushed to the church to learn the song for the choir. Justin and I substituted for Reuben's primary class. We went to sit with the class in sharing time, and Justin by a little girl, on the other end of the row from me. She wiggled across the row, to whisper in my ear, "That guy looks like superman." "He has superman hair" she said.
Jordan and Courtlin came over for dinner. We had the Reasor Traditional Mexican Breakfast. Justin asked Reuben if he knew why we have Mexican Breakfast. After I finished the story about Grandma and Grandpa meeting in Mexico, Reuben wanted to hear the story about how Justin and I met.
We decorated eggs, the blown eggs, with a foil kit. It took some trial and error, and then when the glue that came in the pack ran out we discovered that glue stick worked much better.
We had a wonderful holiday. And, while Reuben will probably never believe in the Easter Bunny, he was able to understand and feel the truth behind the Easter story. That Jesus Christ came to earth to be our Savior, and he saved us by conquering Sin and Death. It is through the atonement that we can be eternally happy, and that is the greatest gift possible.
