Easter- when to celebrate

I'm doing some research for a spiritual thought for our primary easter activity. Trying to find some symbolism that I could use, something other than pagan symbols of fertility (eggs and bunnies.)

I know I'm not the only one that thinks the system for how we decide when to celebrate Easter is confusing, unnecessary, and convoluted. Well, I found out who decided how we decide. It was the Council of Nicea. (Charles Joseph Hefele, A History of the Christian Councils (Edinburgh: T. & T. Clark, 1871), pp. 306–7, 317–18, 322–24.)

Unfortunately the date of Easter is not the only thing that council decided that made simple things a little confusing, unnecessary, and convoluted.

Call Liza she will know about the symbols.

The first Sunday after the first full moon after the Vernal equinox. What's so complicated about that?

That Council of Nicea! They're always getting things mixed up!

You should see Easter in Australia. It's the only 'holiday' that our shops do 'bigger' than American shops (in my opinion!). Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate!

Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!
