Date Night

Tonight we dropped Reuben off with our babysitting swap partners and went down to 104th to use the Ben and Jerry's Gift certificate we got at Christmas time. I've been craving Waffle cone/cup for a couple weeks now so it was perfect... but we got really thirsty, so we went into a grocery store to get some water, and decided that we wanted real food. We called some friends who live down there to find out what they recommended and they pointed us to their "go-to, don't think about it" Chinese food (Malaysia Grill on 104th between Broadway and Amsterdam). It was really good, we had sesame chicken and orange chicken and coconut rice. There is just something about a restaurant that snaps their peas at the back table, and leaves the door to the kitchen open so you can watch them de-bone a huge salmon fillet. We were thankful for friends we could trust food suggestions from.

We picked up Reuben, and we are going to cuddle up and watch Corner Gas.

I know, not a razzle dazzle New York date, but it is the perfect date for an exhausted pregnant girl and her over-worked husband.

I'm so glad you get to go on dates like that :)

Sorry I've been a bad blogger lately! The internet at home has been down :(

I love the pictures of the statues in teh park too, by the way - how fabulous! I would just love to go to a park like that! It's so exciting to see your imagination come alive so tangible and so large :)

So proud of you for doing stuff like that. It's so hard to do that consistently. But honestly, sometimes the simplest dates are the best!
