Here are the long awaited more pictures from our day at the beach.
Reuben's excitement make Justin's glasses go flying through the air.
The first thing Reuben did was get coated in sand. He laid in it, he rolled in it, he dumped it on his head.
He did not get wet. He screamed and cried when Justin and I tried to get his feet wet. He was more interested in the sand, shells, and seagulls. Which was fine with me for now.
Everyone but Reuben came home with something burned. Courtlin's new swimming suit exposed some burnable skin, Justin's haphazard application of sunblock allowed patches of burnable skin... and me, well, lets just say I don't have a farmer's tan anymore.

Looks like a great time. Who knew you could find that in NY?! You must be much nicer than me because if my kids get that much sand on them I make them rinse off in the water. I really like the last family picture--your hair looks so sexy. Can I say that? I Better go ask Chad.
Yay for days at the beach :) I love it that Reuben got himself as dirty and full of sad as possible - boys really are different from girls! And the fact that he wouldn't go in the water warmed my heart - he's still got a ways to go before he's 'all grown up' and that makes me happy :)

PS. You know what would make a REALLY great beach photo? The Cooks on one of MY beaches... ;)
Did all those snobby NYers love Courtlin's T-shirt?
We used to go to the beach all the time when we lived in L.A. and Josh was little. We loved it! But I never, ever got the sun to give me anything but freckles or burns. (Still worth it.)
