Tagged

Rachel of "Rachel and Matthew" tagged me with a different Tag about the same time that Becki tagged me with this one. So I chose to do the easier of the two.

1. What was I doing ten years ago?

I think this picture is 10 years old, it might be older. Can I just say I was pretty good looking. Isn't it amazing that I thought I was the biggest girl I knew. I was a Sophomore. My best friend was Mindy and I remember feeling so cool that I was friends with a senior. I was very lucky to have such a good friend in her. It was the awkward year where my middle school friends were a little to wild, and I hadn't established myself as a choir and drama geek. The things I remember most about being 16 were the bees at my birthday picnic with my family at Tioga Beach after my lunch friends forgot it was my birthday and going to Klous' who had a cake there. Rehearsals for Your a Good Man, Charlie Brown, getting a huge hug and kiss on the forehead from Snoopy when I found out I made Chamber Choir, being a favorite in my English class and feeling like I could write anything and get an A. I have other memories but I'm not sure if they were from when I was 16. Senility runs in my family and I'm afraid it is hitting me early. Sometimes I go back a few months and read my blog and I'm surprised at what happened, or the things I wrote about because I have already forgotten them. So, 10 years is pretty challenging

2. Five things to do today:

  • Work
  • Help Reuben sit on the potty
  • Dishes
  • Knit (I am trying my first child sweater)
  • Read New Moon (thanks Kate!)
3. My favorite snacks:
  • I've been on a nesquick kick (the powder kind), and I made chocolate mousse on Sunday (its all gone now.) I bought the stuff to make the Magnolia Bakery Banana Pudding, Rice Crispy Treats, and a Red Velvet Cake. The trick is if I have to make it I won't run out of it as fast. Usually I just need to know I could have a snack if I really really wanted it.

4. What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire:
  • I would put half of it in a high returning savings account, and only take out the interest made if I was going to have something extra (like the way trust funds work) so I could always have money. I would use the other half to pay back Justin's Grad School Loans. (whats half a billion after taxes? it might not be enough.) And I would leave the bread winning to Justin and become a SAHM instead of WFHM. (stay at home mom/work from home mom)

5. Three Bad habits:
  • Not going outside for days because I'm too overwhelmed with work and the oppressiveness of going outside in this city
  • Playing spider when I'm frustrated instead of fixing the problem
  • Letting my house stay messy for too long
6. Five jobs I've had:
  • Editor for WGU (August 2004-July 2006 October 2007-Present)
  • Plagiarism Cop for WGU (July 2006-October 2007)
  • Marketplace Cafe (January 2001 - May 2004 except some summers) YUM!
  • Burger King worst summer job ever YUCK!
  • 10 pm to 2 am Custodian in HFAC
7. Five things people don't know about me:
  • I find it very hard to be friendly, and I'm always amazed that people think I am.
  • I'm afraid of telephones both calling people and answering it (even my sisters).
  • I'm afraid of bridges especially if they are long and over water or you can see through them.
  • I am terrified of crowds. I've come very close to passing out because of panicking. The first time it happened was at a BYU Football game, and Times Square and the Subway during rush hour are enough to make me hyperventilate.
  • I'm scared to death of getting stranded or lost without a car, thats why I HATE service changes on the subway. I was never afraid of getting stranded or lost when I had a car.
Tammy, I tag you... this could be your first post! And for the rest of you, if you haven't done this tag yet, please do.

PS. I think I'm afraid of the commitment I see 'blog keeping' to be....

Comparatively, we all looked better when Jordan was in her awkward years.
