Little Laundry Helper

Last night Daddy was doing laundry, he was filling a basket to take down to the machines from the hamper. Reuben was begging to help so daddy handed Reuben the clothes and Reuben put them in to the basket.
"Mommy's shirt?" he would say in up talk as he put my shirt in the basket. "Daddy's shirt? ... Reuben's socks?"
It came time to go down to the basement and I figured I'd put Reuben to bed so daddy could do it alone, but Reuben started to cry. "Laundry! I want do laundry! Helping!" So instead of putting him in the bath I put on some pants and shoes.
He ran back to the bedroom and grabbed this little bear box, and started looking for clothes to put in his "basket."
Daddy and Reuben went down the basement, Daddy reports that daddy was a very good helper, putting the clothes in the washers. Reuben stayed up so he could go down to put the clothes in the drier (which daddy helped him with a little bit.) He even carried some of my "no drier" clothes up in his bear box. There was another couple in the elevator and Reuben shoved them his box, and said, "Laundry."
I am going to do everything in my power to foster this love for the laundry. I hope it sticks.

Oh Brecken - what an adorable story :) That's so cute :)

Give the boy a big hug from his Aussie Aunt and tell him he can do my laundry anytime he's down under.
