Look Past the Extremely Cute Smile

Reuben's smile is fabulous, I have two things I want you to see, that you won't if you are focusing on those dimples and sparkly eyes.

first: Do you see them, in the background? My attempt to be a real person in a cracker jack box, CURTAINS! Oh, I love them! Off white sheers, and green linen curtains. They make the room look more like a real room, even though it is still a master-office-living room.

second: We bought Reub a little potty. Which he loves to sit on. We are just trying to get him used to sitting on the potty regularly so when he is ready he will be comfortable there. The other night Reuben sat on the potty, and wouldn't get off until Justin handed him some toilet paper so he could wipe the side his hip. Today, Reuben was not playing nice. So when he was playing in the back of the apartment I let him, there isn't much he could kill himself with back there, and he had been do pretty well about not destroying things lately. Then I heard a splash. Like the good mother I am I ran to the bathroom, and as I turned the corner the door slammed shut. I opened the door to find this:

He had emptied the whole role, and then grabbed a new role to throw in as a finishing touch (the splash). And as if that wasn't enough, I saw this:
All I have to say is he better smile a lot tomorrow because he wore me out today!

Ah toddlers. I hope he didn't try to flush it. It's a pain fishing things out, but even worse if you have to plunge the toilet and everything.

On the bright side, it's only toilet paper :) My friend who has 2 year-old twins left them in the living room for ten minutes while she was in the bathroom. While she was in there, they went outside, grabbed the garden hose, turned it on, and brought it inside. They sprayed the entire living room!

At least you don't have a garden hose :)
