The Calligraphy Guild had a workshop with Carrie Imai. It was lovely. Even though we were doing gothic, which is in no way relaxed, she really pushed us to work bigger and relax, which is something I struggle at, and why I like gothic so much, because it is so formulaic and rigid.
She is a great teacher. She is very encouraging, but can also pin point what you need to change in order to do things right.
It was so nice to work and improve, and try new things, and the company was excellent. And look what I was able to do, with no lines.
Justin took Friday off to watch the boys. They had their own adventures while I was having mine. They went to the zoo, and the dollar theater, and the children's museum. We were tired at the end of the day, but I think it was enjoyable to everyone.

I realize this is entirely off topic, but being unqualufied to comment on the caligraphy, I just wanted to mention that your hair looks great.
That looks awesome Brecken! So glad you're enjoying it :)
