I am thankful for New York. It changed me, and my family for the better. Even I have a hard time believing that we lived in New York City for three years... and I was there. Granted it was hard, but also so cool. We had so many great experiences. So many great friends. I'm still not a city person, but I find myself missing aspects of it.

I have friends who ran the NY marathon yesterday. My boys and I have been to the statute of liberty several times. We've walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. I've seen seven shows on Broadway.  We've been to the top of the Empire State Building, and Rockefeller Center. I love Riverside Park, I love Central Park. I still have cravings for Grey's Papaya, Falafel, Westside Market Salad Bar, Cupcakes, Thai, and Indian food (and delivery). When I get compliments on my jewelery I think "2 dollars in Chinatown."

All fond memories. And while I said that we had to be living in New York City so we would never have to come back, I hope our life brings us back there...maybe when the children are grown, and we are millionaires so we can have roof access, a driver, grocery and laundry service, and a gigantic penthouse.

I've only been to NYC one time, back when we lived upstate. I wasn't there long enough for it to put me under its spell, but I can appreciate your missing it, especially Rockefeller Center during the holidays. Where do you live now?
