lighten up

After I had Reuben my natural blond highlights fell out. After I had Simeon my hair just got darker. I have nothing against brunettes, I'm just not one of them. And it was to the point where it was a stretch to call my hair color dirty blond. So, my visiting teacher found a way to help. We lightened my hair. Its subtle, which is good for the first time ever dying your hair. When I look in the mirror I'm not shocked at how dark my hair is, and that was the point.

So, Justin took some photos. Here is his favorite out of the bunch. Isn't it nice that I am the center of attention, and the one that looks good.

It looks great! My hair has followed the same pattern since having children. It just gets darker and darker and darker! The highlights looks great, as do you!

It's crazy all the weird things that pregnancy does to our bodies! Great picture!

You look beautiful :) and yes, it's very nice to see you as the centre of attention in a photo! Wouldn't mind seeing more of those since you do such a good job of them :)

and I get the whole 'i'm just not one of them' thing :) the only times I dy my hair are when I'm mortified by the grey and just want to be a completely dark brunette again :)

Since I only really know you with blonde hair, even now after being lightened, it seems so dark to me! I can't believe it. I think it looks great, but I guess I'm partial to being brunette. :) Your friend did a great job (I would know!)

The hair may darken, but the eyes are still blue :)

Very Nice!! Looking great girl! :) It is so good to have a pampering moment, esp with two kids in NYC that keep one looking at everything except in the mirror. :) Congrats. It looks superb!

Was it scary to color your hair for the first time? My mom's hair also went dark after she had kids, but she still insists it's blonde. I'm worried that the same thing will happen to me, which would cause a bit of a crisis for me since I identify myself not just as blonde (because lots of people are blonde by choice...) but as naturally blonde. I've always said that I'll color my hair when it stops looking good to me, but it still freaks me out a bit...

Looks good. Your hair is much more darker now, but I like it...at least it is not curly!

Very cute picture and fun highlight. It's crazy how many changes our body goes through after giving birth.
