I {heart} Feb. 2

I despise the movie Groundhog's Day. I was thinking about how much I really do dislike it, and how I'm so glad that its not some silly tradition to watch it in our house. (Justin, for some reason enjoys it immensely, so I easily could have been forced into such a tradition.) Also, I'm not a celebrator of the day. Groundhog's day has never meant much to me, because growing up in Minnesota "6 more weeks of winter" was a pipe dream, so obviously the whole thing was a crock.

I thought about how in this month of pink, red, swirls, and hearts, I should challenge myself to list something I hearted every day.

I also overheard Reuben looking through the Disney Movie Club ad saying, "I hate that movie. I hate that movie. I hate, Oh. I don't hate THAT movie, I LOVE that movie. Bu-ut, I hate that movie." So, we need a little more loving going on in our house.

So...
-surprise sunny-warm days that mean some running around time at the park.
-good friends, who have all mastered the art of letting the kids play until something dangerous interrupts the conversation.
-that Justin's schedule allows for him to come home during the middle of the day so I can take a much needed nap.

I'm off to a good start! Do you want to join me? Leave a comment about what you hearted today, or let me know you are doing it on your blog so I can steal some of yours (if they apply).

I hate that movie too. It's right up there with snow.

I heart days when I actually finish grading my papers and can go to bed early enough to get 8 hrs of sleep (these days, that's 9:30--what has the world come to?)

I can't stand that movie and for some odd reason DH loves it. Today I hearted Cate's bouncy curls and mere glimmer of hoping that potty training is just around the corner with her. Is it possible my house will be diaper-free after 6 years?

I heart family history today, but that's most days, and you probably already knew that.
I also really enjoyed how when I told Henry we were going shopping, he started giving me a list, "Cookie cereal gone, buy more." Sure is fun to listen to them talk sometimes. I also loved it how Hazel said she is so pretty today when I fixed her hair. Those are good things worth remembering.
Thanks for the reminder.
