Tree Hugging

We went for another adventure walk. Reuben decided since he couldn't hug the squirrels he would start hugging the trees, and fallen logs. I asked him how he thought the tree felt when he hugged it, he said, "Oh, it is happy because the tree loves me SO much!"

No one would guess you're in NYC.

It makes me think you live in Vermont, not a couple blocks North.

Hey Brecken!
I've been reading your blog for a while now and I just gotta say, I LOVE it. I cannot believe your little guy is growing up so quickly! It's fun getting updates.

I just wanted to say that I was reading the New York Times Book Review a couple of months ago and they were showcasing two books that were aimed at teaching children how to interact with the natural world.

Ironically, children come into this world natural environmentalists. They love watching things grow and change shape. Not to mention exploring. Like it said in the review a child would choose a garden over a parking lot any day as their preferred play area.

These pictures of that! :n)
