This Date Cost as Much as Our Honey Moon

We received a date for our birthdays, and we finally got to take advantage of that very generous gift.
We went to Lion King. It was pretty amazing, and very beautiful. I kept thinking how hard it must be to have the huge lion heads on, or be giraffe. The pure magnitude of the production was overwhelming.
The theater is gorgeous and the biggest theater I have ever been in.
We then went to dinner at the 21 Club. We chose it based on its mention in "Rear Window." It was very fancy, and very focused on getting us to drink. I had the "seasonal soup," the Steak with mashed potatoes and carrots and a roasted onion, and creme brule. It was the first time in the city that my water has been full the whole time. The dinner was very good, and the chance to do something that was fancy in New York was wonderful. Justin will have more to say about this, but it might have to wait until the 17th (the last day of class which cannot come soon enough!)

Oh Brecken - I'm so glad the two of you got to spend such a wonderful evening together! I know things are hard at times, and life always has it's ups and downs, but spending these couple of years in NY is going to have so many wonderful benefits too. For example, now you can begin conversations with 'I remember this one time, when I was eating creme brule at Club 21 in New York City - after taking in a show on Broadway of course - ....' Not many people can do that.... :)

Only 9 days until the 17th! (unless you're in Australia, then its 8...)

Woo Hoo!
