Little Did He Know

One of Brecken's favorite sayings after I give her any sort of compliment or am amazed at something she just did is "That's why you married me." Well let me tell you--there were a good many solid reasons as to why I married Brecken Reasor those four (not score, and still short twenty) years ago. What I have found out since, though, is that not all of the things I have discovered about her along the way were things that I knew when I married her. It is just one adventure after another and more and more I am realizing that Brecken is filled to overflowing with those little-did-I-know reasons why I married her! Here are ten of them, in countdown fashion:

The Top 10 (of many) Little-Did-Justin-Know Reasons Why He Married Brecken

10. Brecken loves slumber parties in the living room with salty-snacks, tasty-treats, and good movies

9. Brecken is always concerned for the welfare of others and makes special arrangements to cater to those needs--even if it means sacrificing her own comforts

8. Brecken can look at just about anything, or read the destructions (he means directions/instructions--just a little word Justin picked up since they've been married) and proceed to do the very things she observed or read about, and do it extremely well--most recently: baked mac and cheese, photography, and knitting.

7. Brecken is an excellent writer and deserves at least half the credit if not all for many of Justin's short film and script plot points. ALSO...Brecken knows all kinds of cool words that Justin never knew before, like awning, rick-rack, gingham, ramekins, and so forth...

6. Brecken gives the best comments ever in Sunday School and she is an excellent speaker at Church.

5. Brecken is a very patient and loving mother and teacher, and she knows exactly how to get through to kids and what cool things they will like.

4. Brecken always has perfectly logical reasons for why she strays away from doing certain things, the reasons for and benefits of which Justin is quickly learning to listen to, love, and appreciate. She knows what makes her unhapppy and avoids it.

3. Brecken always has perfectly logical reasons for why she pursues and enjoys certain things, the reasons for and benefits of which Justin is also quickly learning to listen to, love, and appreciate. She knows what satisfies her and seeks that satisfaction.

2. Brecken is extremely loving and personable, even at parties, despite her early warnings to Justin, she disproves those warnings and busts those myths constantly.

1. And most importantly, Justin lovingly admits that Brecken is always right.
