We aren't sure why there were all the flowers on the memorial this time as opposed to other times like, say, when the photograph for the famous Imagine poster was taken. There is a John Lennon song titled "Remember" and it says "Remember, Remember, the 5th of November." We were there on that very day--but perhaps the flowers remain year-round, whilst the image frozen in our minds is the print we see hanging on so many walls.

i think it's sweet that there are sympathy flowers all year round.
