Good Friends, Good Food, Cute kids, Nice day.

I didn't do thanksgiving dinner all by myself (thank goodness), Justin helped, but we also spent it with some friends. We have some friends across the hall, who happen to be mormon, and my visiting teacher, who invited us to share dinner with them. It was delightful!

We had ham. Which made me realize that I only eat turkey once a year because I kind of don't like it. It was such a nice dinner, and felt exactly the way thanksgiving should feel.

We talked about thanksgiving traditions, and what each family did. It's interesting that other than going around the table describing what you are thankful for there wasn't much more than the dinner. It made me think that traditions outside of food are really important to make because if something happens and you can't eat 5 different slivers of pies anymore you will still have something.

I think the Cook Shack with continue the thanksgiving countdown (even if I have dry humor and seem not very thankful). It was nice to think of something beyond, I worked, I had 10 minutes with Reuben, Justin came home early, each day. I might need to try to be more grateful this year, so next year I won't have as many buts next year.
