No-Bake Cookies

I made no-bake cookies last night because I am on the part of the diet where you want to get your metabolism back so I can have cookies and not feel bad, so I'm going to have them. This afternoon I put Reub down for a nap and then Justin came home and I left for the chiropractor and the gym. When I got home, Justin and I played try-to-decide-if-our-couch-will-fit-in-NY, and Reub woke up from his nap. Justin went to get him, and as he was walking into the living room he asked "Did you give him a cookie?" I said, "No, well at lunch-time" and Justin said, "Dang."

Reuben had what looked to be no-bake cookie on his face, smeared all over his bran clean sheet, and all over his hands. It was not no-bake cookie. Reuben is not allowed to go pantsless anymore. He had a diaper on, we aren't nudists, but he's pulled his last trick on us. We've learned he will either take off the diaper, or smear no-bake cookie everywhere.

The real no-bake cookies
2 cups sugar
4 tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
Bring above to boil, let boil one minute
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 cup oatmeal
Add above and form cookies on cookie sheet with wax paper. Cool until hardened.

Yuck! I used to tend a little girl who had similar habits. I'm impressed that you didn't throw up on Reuben. You must have a stronger stomach than you used to think!

I don't think i'll be making those cookies anytime soon. NASTY. maybe at some point i'll be able to disassociate the recipe from that sad tale you just related. i hope so. that park looks incredible. you are going to see some amazing things. i hope you like art museums.
