The Big Dipper

You can't really see any stars in New York City. This often saddens me. I miss catching sight of the very few constellations I can recognize.

We were walking home from Jed and Kate's house on Sunday when a large serving spoon nicked the top of my head.

Someone threw a serving spoon out their window at me (or maybe it was at Justin, and they just missed). Who would throw a serving spoon at Reuben?

I miss the North Star but not enough to stop and pick up the spoon (it was a pretty nice one) I didn't want to be an easier target for the utensil throwing maniac.

That's awfully random and scary...hope you made it home alright after that!! We can't see the stars here either...but it's cuz of the NASTY air. BLAH :)

I thought this was a little bit funny... So long as you weren't badly hurt of course :) And maybe some poor husband dropped it by accident, and was (as you were hurrying away), getting in big trouble from his wife who 'loved that spoon!'

:)

I'm sorry, but this actually made me giggle a little bit. Who would throw a serving spoon out the window? Weird. I'm glad the big dipper did no big damage to your noggin!

I bet you felt like Chicken Little.

When weird random stuff like would happen to us, we'd just shrug and say, "Only in L.A.!" (which is pretty true of big cities in general, I think.)
